Chargebee, a subscription billing and revenue management program, is partnering with ION, which delivers business and financial transformation via software solutions, according to a press release.
The combination of Chargebee with ION will make use of ION’s cloud expertise, data analytics, automation and customer relationship management (CRM). It will help to “unlock the power of automation in business, streamlining processes and empowering decision making across the businesses,� the release stated.
ION will thus be able to help “maximize customer value, improve communication, increase visibility, market segmentation, and better manage the customer lifecycle,� according to the release.
Chargebee will continue working with business to boost their customer journeys and offer flexible products, the release stated. The company automates billing and revenue operations that come up as businesses scale and have to use more advanced subscription models.

Eric Chan, head of Partnerships at Chargebee, said in the release that Chargebee clients are “looking to solve their big challenges around customers and revenue. Adding ION as a partner allows us to address the full lead-to-ledger solution that can supercharge productivity and scale their growth.�
In October, Chargebee raised $55 million in a Series F funding round, which brought the company’s total funding to $105 million. The company intended to put the money toward enhancing products and helping businesses launch new and complex revenue models.
Krish Subramanian, co-founder and CEO of Chargebee, said at the time that he thought traditional businesses were beginning to catch onto Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) style platforms, which meant subscription companies needed to keep up the pace.
