A new limited series based on the hit podcast “WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork” will debut exclusively on Apple TV+.
The series will follow the rise and fall of WeWork, one of the world’s most valuable startups. At one point, WeWork was valued at nearly $50 billion but fell from grace after significant financial mismanagement.
“WeCrashed” will star Academy, Golden Globe, and SAG award winners Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway.
This would be Leto’s first foray into television since the 90s series “My So-Called Life,” co-starring Claire Danes. He won the 2014 Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in “Dallas Buyers Club.”
Lee Eisenberg, who also worked on Apple TV+’s “Little America” will co-write, executive produce, and star as showrunner alongside Drew Crevello.
Jon Requa and Glenn Ficarra, known for “This is Us” and “Crazy Stupid Love,” will serve as directors.
“WeCrashed” joins Apple TV+’s growing slate of original productions, including “Truth Be Told,” a true-crime drama, “Tehran,” an Israeli espionage thriller, and the newly released “Palmer,” a life-after-prison story about redemption and acceptance.
