ZTE’s Blade X1 5G is Visible’s first affordable 5G smartphone

Blade X1 5G

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G processor has been the chip of choice where affordable 5G smartphones were concerned with ZTE’s Blade X1 5G being the latest example. With a 6.5-inch Full HD display, quad rear cameras and a 5G connectivity, the Blade X1 5G is the first phone to enter Visible’s affordable 5G line-up with a $384 price tag.

ZTE’s Blade X1 5G offers a similar level of hardware as the TCL 10 5G UW but with a little less battery capacity and lack of support for mmWave. The fingerprint scanner is on the rear of the phone along with a quartet of cameras that includes a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a couple of 2MP sensors to make up the numbers. There’s also a 16MP selfie camera housed in the punch-hole in the top-left of the FHD+ display.

It’s unfortunate that the Blade X1 5G is running Android 10 out of the box, and that there is no IP certification present although corners needed to be finessed somewhere along the line.

The Blade X1 5G is available on Visible from today onwards for $384 outright, with those porting their number over to the carrier getting a $150 MasterCard and an Amazon Firestick TV as a bonus.
