Samsung shows off the heritage of the Galaxy S series in new Galaxy S21 teaser

With a little over two weeks to go until the as-yet-unconfirmed January 14th launch date of the Galaxy S21, Samsung has posted a video on its YouTube channel that shows the progression of its Galaxy S series of flagship smartphones over the years. The video depicts the main improvement that each new Galaxy S handset, from the original Galaxy S to the S6 with its curved edge display to the Galaxy S20 with its punch-hole selfie camera.

Other than saying that “a new Galaxy awaits� and the clicking over from 2020 to 2021, the teaser is exactly just that – a teaser with virtually zero new information to be gleaned from it. Except, that this is Samsung acknowledging that a new Galaxy S series of phones is on the way, so maybe the rumored January 14th is correct after all. If so, we can expect Samsung’s marketing machine to ramp up its output over the next couple of weeks.
