Until recently, Google used to be the first to roll out a security patch but Samsung has upped its game tremendously on the software update front and is now pushing out the February security patch to the Galaxy S20 series in Europe, beating the search giant to the punch yet again.
According to SamMobile, the February 2021 update doesn’t appear to include anything except the security patch, so the One UI 3.1 upgrade is still the restricted to the recently launched Galaxy S21 series and the Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+.
It’s a minor update that brings the Exynos 990-powered Galaxy S20 series to build G98**XXS6CUA8 in Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Nordic countries, and the UK.
If you haven’t received the update yet, you can head to Settings and tap on Software Update before pressing Download and Install. It shouldn’t be too long before Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S20 handsets get the February update, hopefully.
