MIDDLETOWN — Apple Rehab Middletown resident Santo Salafia was the first patient to get the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at the facility when it began its roll-out in mid-December.
“I made history!� Salafia said, as his children cheered him on through the window, according to Eleanor Ferrara-Anderson, director of Admissions & Marketing.
“It’s been a difficult year. We’re so happy to see some light at the end of the tunnel,� Karen Donorfio, Apple Rehab vice president of operations told The Press in December.
